She is a member of the Netherlands Association of Plein Air Painters (Nederlandse Vereniging Van Plein Air Schilders) and won 1st prize in their annual open competition in 2008 and 2nd prize in 2007.
After graduating from Camberwell School of Art in London she won a scholarship to do postgraduate studies in India where she graduated with a 1st class M.F.A.
She spent many years in India studying Transcendental Meditation, researching into consciousness and working for a non-profit charity dedicated to create world peace.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
I
do occasionally paint in the studio, but more often I work on location,
directly from nature. I seek to convey through color and light the
deep harmony and spiritual quality that I experience in nature.
